Fruity and well-rounded

A garnet-red colour with purple highlights. Straightforward nose of blackcurrant coulis, candied red fruit, herbs and spices. Floral notes. Full-bodied attack. Clean, long-lasting character. Good persistence.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Le domaine et l'appellation

  • Delas Frères

    For more than 180 years, the Delas Frères "winegrower's heart" has been expressing itself with rigour and passion in the northern appellations of the Rhône Valley. The resulting estate wines and plot selections illustrate the company's policy of focusing on the quality of its terroirs. Since 1996, Delas Frères has embarked on a major investment programme: new vat room, renovation of the ageing cellar, acquisition of vineyards. The recent acquisition of a property in the heart of Tain l'Hermitage means that Delas Frères now has a real showcase for the vinification and ageing of its most prestigious wines. This new site, a privileged place for welcoming visitors, contributes to the reputation of the House. Hedonists and wine lovers will enjoy a unique experience combining tradition and modernity, nature and architecture, culture and serenity.
