Powerful bouquet

Garnet colour with some brick tints. Open and frank nose of blueberries, liquorice, then roasting and mocha. Good balance, frank, straightforward, with finesse, full-bodied and fleshy. Nice character that prolongs the aromas of the nose, ripe tannins, quite tight and melted.

CHÄTEAU CHASSE SPLEEN

L’hiver 2019 est classique donc parfait, assez froid et pas trop humide. Février et mars sont très secs auxquels succèdent des pluies d’avril très denses. Quelques nuits de gel en mai mettent à mal quelques bourgeons. Une pluie très régulière inonde juin et la fleur y échappe, presque. Juillet enchaîne des records de chaleur. Août et début septembre sont plus normés. Las, c’est sous un ciel menaçant et y cédant parfois que se dérouleront les vendanges. Mais une fois de plus, l’expérience et le sang-froid ont accouché d’un très bon vin.
