Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Shiny yellow gold colour. Pretty fine and elegant nose of white fruits, dried flowers, iodised and salty notes. Nice balance, full, full-bodied, the alcohol is melted, finesse, notes of pear, dried banana, salted butter caramel, peaty point, roundness. Straight, taut, rather airy and sapid finish.

Features

Body The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Cet embouteillage de Yoichi est aujourd'hui l’unique représentant du single malt historique de Nikka. Assemblage de whiskies d’âges différents, il exprime un subtil équilibre entre des arômes fumés, fruités et floraux. Première distillerie de la maison Nikka, Yoichi est située sur la côte de Hokkaido, l’île la plus septentrionale du Japon. Produits selon des méthodes traditionnelles, telle que la chauffe directe au feu de charbon, les malts affichent parfaitement le caractère authentique de ce lieu d’exception avec leurs notes marines et finement tourbées.
