    The first vines were planted on the gravelly slopes of Haut-Brion in the 1st century AD.

     

    A long tradition of winemaking led Château Haut-Brion to obtain the distinction of Premier Grand Cru Classé in 1855, the only wine outside the Médoc to be included in this prestigious classification, and then the title of Cru Classé de Graves in 1953.

     

    The success of Haut-Brion wines stems from the expertise acquired over the centuries and from an innovative vision. Through its wines, the estate aims to reveal the quintessence of its exceptional terroir.
