Fruity and well-rounded

Black colour with purple highlights. Straightforward nose of blackcurrant coulis, with notes of candied pepper. Hints of boxwood. Full-bodied attack, full and round. Frank, greedy and well-balanced. Character of candied red fruit and herbs. Good length with a frank, greedy finish and lovely character.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Le domaine et l'appellation

  • DOMAINE ROCHES NEUVES

    Hand-harvested in small crates, sorting table for the grapes before vatting by conveyor belt. Fermentation in open cement vats of 45 hl at a temperature of 16 to 22°C to extract maximum aromas and fatness; end of fermentation at a temperature of 24°C. Vatting for 10 to 18 days. Aged in 25 hl round tuns from Stoeckinger and in 600-litre barrels.
