L'avis de nos oenologues
Fruity and well-rounded
Intense golden colour with pale orange highlights. Open nose with notes of brandy, coffee, candied plum and vanilla, with a gourmet touch. Round, greedy, ample attack, medium viscosity on notes of candied plums, candied mango and white chocolate. Candied mirabelle plum and milk caramel notes. Greedy finish, on peach syrup and candied citrus fruits.

Caractéristiques
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Le saviez-vous ?
Pineau des Charentes is said to have originated from the inattention of a winemaker who inadvertently poured brandy into a barrel still containing grape must.

Ménard
The Ménard family has been established in the Cognac region since 1815, passing on their expertise as winegrowers and distillers from generation to generation. It was in 1946 that Jean-Paul Ménard and his two sons began marketing under their own name, in order to promote the quality and authenticity of their work.
Terroir : Spread over 64 hectares, the vineyard is located in the 1st Growth of the Cognac region: Grande Champagne.
Viticulture : This pineau is made from Ugni Blanc and Montils grapes.
Production: The grape must is blended at harvest time with the estate brandy distilled the previous year. The blend is then aged in oak barrels for 3 years before being sold.
