Fruity and light

A light copper colour with brown highlights.

 

A fresh, clean nose of orange zest, blood orange, grapefruit and lime.

 

Round and well-balanced on the palate, without any heaviness, carried by a lovely aromatic freshness.

 

A long, fresh finish, with a delicate hint of milk caramel.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

The rapier was invented in Italy and brought in France by the Gascons after Italy’s wars.

Le domaine et l'appellation

  • Monluc

    The rapier is a long and light sword that gave its name to this liquor. This alcohol is made of Armagnac and orange. Its recipe is kept secret by the Lassus family, at the Château Monluc. Its creator is the family patriarch, René Lassius, that invented this liquor in the 1960’s.

    Je détestais l'ancienne bouteille, mais en rentrant de vacances et en traversant le gers...j'ai fais le plein avec la nouvelle présentation d'1 litre. Dommage qu'il manque 3 degrés... mais toujours excellent. Bien entendu à consommer après les chaleurs...

    La nouvelle bouteille est peu pratique car on ne peux pas suivre le niveau restant dans la bouteille

    Trés bon produit dans un contenant qui fait penser à un flacon de pharmacie!!! N'incite pas vraiment à l'achat!!!
