Powerful bouquet

Bright and luminous lemon yellow colour, fine and regular bubbles. Nice frank nose of yellow peaches, candied apricots, then cashew nuts and mocha. Good balance on a rather full-bodied champagne. The character is straightforward with a hint of citrus zest then praline. Clean finish with a hint of sapid bitterness. An aperitif champagne that can withstand a light meal.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Le saviez-vous ?

Classified as a historical monument in 1931, "Les Crayères" date back to Gallo-Roman times. Offering ideal conditions for the fermentation and maturation of wine, Ruinart was the first of the great Champagne houses to use these cellars.

Le domaine et l'appellation

    It was during a trip to the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés that Dom Thierry Ruinart understood the potential of his native Champagne region in the making of the famous bubbly wine. Officially created in 1729 by his nephew Nicolas Ruinart.
    The prestigious house continues to thrive today through its signature "The oldest house in Champagne."
    Ruinart is the first Champagne House to offer an innovative, eco-designed alternative to all of its boxes. In 2020, Ruinart breaks with the tradition of single boxes, and goes further in its environmental contribution with the second skin case. This eco-designed case exactly matches the emblematic shape of the House's bottles while preserving the integrity of the Ruinart taste until the tasting of this exceptional champagne.
