L'avis de nos oenologues

Fruity and well-rounded

The nose is open and frank, with a typical character marked by notes of white flowers, bergamot and hawthorn.

The attack is frank, offering finesse and good balance, with a character that develops around white flowers and minerality.

The finish is sapid and crisp, dominated by citrus fruit and a touch of vanilla, with a hint of white pepper, and a fine persistence.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Le domaine et l'appellation

  • MAISON CASTEL

With its Grande Réserve wines, Maison Castel offers you a selection of renowned Pays d'Oc grape varieties. These vintages have been carefully selected and vinified with the utmost care.

    Can you tell the difference?

    Terroir :
This Chardonnay Grande Réserve, chosen from the Pays d'Oc terroirs, benefits from the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI).

Thanks to the diversity of its soils and its Mediterranean climate, the Pays d'Oc allows this grape variety to reveal its full potential, particularly through its rich palette of aromas.

    Vinification
Careful selection of grapes and meticulous attention to vinification give this wine its character and elegance.

The free-run juice is separated from the press juice and the must is settled.

The musts are sent to fermentation at between 15 and 17°C to bring out the tropical and orchard fruit aromas.
