Calvados is distilled from more than 200 apple varieties. It is not uncommon for a producer to use over a hundred varieties for producing Calvados.

Domain and appellation

  • Calvados Morin

    A family business founded in 1889 specialising in the production of "Top-of-the-range" Calvados. The company owes its reputation to a maturing technique unique in Normandy. The young Calvados are first of all housed in small oak barrels in (dry) cellars that are subject to climatic variations before being transferred to very humid underground troglodyte cellars where they will finish maturing.
