Powerful bouquet

The nose is straightforward, marked by roasted notes and spices, then opens up to jammy black fruits.

The attack is full-bodied, with round, silky tannins and beautiful balance.

The palate lingers with lovely length and notes of candied redcurrant and cocoa.

Features

Domain and appellation

CANTINA VALLE TRITANA

Fondée en 1959, la Cantina Valle Tritana est située à Ofena, au cœur des collines des Abruzzes, dans la province de L’Aquila.

Chaque étape, du raisin à la mise en marché, repose sur une expertise collective, soutenue par des outils de vinification modernes, garants de régularité, de précision et de qualité constante. La production annuelle avoisine les 300 000 bouteilles, assurant un équilibre maîtrisé entre capacité de production et exigence qualitative.

Le cœur historique de la cave demeure le Montepulciano d’Abruzzo D.O.C., issu de la vallée de la Tritana, un terroir singulier situé au pied du Gran Sasso. Ce site bénéficie d’un microclimat idéal, alternant journées chaudes et nuits fraîches, propice à la maturité et à l’équilibre des raisins.

Le cépage Montepulciano, cultivé ici depuis l’Antiquité, constitue encore aujourd’hui l’un des piliers viticoles majeurs de la région.
