Powerful bouquet

Garnet colour. A frank nose of spices, cocoa and roasted plums. Supple attack, well-balanced. Frankly greedy length, character on grilled spices. Supple tannins with roundness and balance. Good persistence and typicity.

Features

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • MOUTON CADET

    Created in 1930 by the Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Mouton Cadet reflects the wealth and diversity of the Bordeaux terroir through a wine that remains accessible to everyone.

     

    • Terroir: The grapes come from the entire Bordeaux region thanks to a partnership with over 450 winegrowers that are spread across 1200 hectares.

     

    • Viticulture: Those established partnerships allow high-end plot selections. The winegrowers are tied to the Mouton Cadet maison through defined specifications.

     

    • Wine-making: Combining modernity and technicality, the main Bordeaux grape varieties are thoroughly blended in a consistent manner in order to maintain the typical blackcurrant flavor. The incorporation of a water treatment facility that uses reeds allows Mouton Cadet to extend and deepen its environmental-friendly practices.
