Powerful bouquet

Dark brick colour, open nose of cooked fruit, liquorice, animal notes, roasted notes, good balance on a fairly full-bodied, frank wine, nice character on animal, roasted notes, hint of burnt wood, juniper notes, frank finish on a melted wine, ready to drink.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • château du Bousquet

    Château du Bousquet has a high planting density of 6,600 to 7,000 vines per hectare compared to the standards of the appellation (minimum density 4,500 vines per hectare in Côtes de Bourg).
    Soil: Clay and limestone.
    Vinification: Respect for the fruit through very controlled alcoholic fermentation temperatures (27 - 28°C) Thermovinification of the Cabernet Sauvignon.
    Aged in French oak barrels for 50% of the volume.
