Fruity and well-rounded

The nose is straightforward, marked by herbs and blackcurrant coulis, then opens up to notes of fresh spices and candied black fruits, with a hint of cocoa.


The attack is supple, offering roundness and beautiful balance.

 

The palate stretches out with a frank and fruity finish, asserting a rich and distinctive character with spices and herbs.

 

The finish is sustained, pleasantly prolonging the tasting experience.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

    Founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet, Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aîné is now owned by the Frey family, Champagne winegrowers and also owners of Château La Lagune in Bordeaux.

     

    The estate is located on some of the finest plots of the Northern Rhône Valley, across prestigious appellations such as Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas, Saint-Péray, Saint-Joseph and Condrieu.
