Powerful bouquet

Sa robe ambrée offre un nez épuré et agréable, aux notes subtiles d’agrumes et de fumé.

Doux et plaisant en bouche, ce whisky est gourmand, sur une base sucrée/salée. Son intensité se révèle peu à peu puis cède place aux arômes tourbés.

L'ajout d'eau révèle son côté marin.

Un délicieux mélange de douceur, d'amertume et de fumé.

Features

Body The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

CAOL ILA
Founded in 1846 by Hector Henderson, the Caol Ila distillery is now owned by the Diageo group.
- Distillery: Rebuilt in 1972, Caol Ila is located on the banks of the strait, near Port Askaig, a place originally chosen because of the purity of the water from Loch Nam Ban, which is still its main source.

Un feu d artifice en bouche, ne pas l avaler mais le laisser exprimer toute sa force dix secondes puis apparaîtront ses subtils arômes terreux. Il vous laissera littéralement chamboulé. La grande classe.
