Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

Garnet colour with bright red highlights. Open nose with notes of kirch, plum and black pepper. Supple, thin attack with notes of cherry and laurel. Small character. Crisp finish, on red fruits, sapid, medium persistence.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

JEAN-MARC BROCARD

Located in the heart of the Chablis region, the family estate was founded in 1973 by Jean-Marc Brocard, who was joined by his son Julien Brocard in 1998 to cultivate all the vines organically and biodynamically. Today, almost 120 hectares are cultivated organically and 72 hectares biodynamically. Precision, strength and freshness form the Brocard signature, a unique style. Today, Julien Brocard is continuing his drive to care for the living world by practising agroforestry, which consists of growing trees and crops together on the same plot of land.
