Fruity and well-rounded
Dark, this garnet-colored wine releases fragrances of red fruits coulis and pepper. In mouth, it amazes with its balance and its frank taste of black fruits and black cherry spiced by notes of juniper. A great roundness is mixing with ripped tannins, leaving space for finesse and frankness during the length.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Château Gruaud Larose
2d Cru Classé since 1855, the name of Château Gruaud Larose, takes its name from 2 families that will constitute the field throughout the 18th century.
- Terroir: This wine benefits from the premium terroir of the Gruaud Larose domain where gravels and pebbles Medoc soils help the cabernet sauvignon thrive. Located between Pauillac and Margaux on the Gironde left bank, the Saint-Julien appellation has the Medoc smallest surface.
- Viticulture: This second wine benefits from an ancestral savoir-faire and organic pratiques that aim at preserving the terroir.
- Vinification: The winemaking process used for the second wine is the same as the one used for the grand vin. Only the ageing process defers with a shorter period of 12 to 24 months.
