Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Everyone contributes to the Domaines Jean-Luc Colombo. Especially Fitou, Corton and Syrah, the dogs and cats of the domain that help by chasing rabbits from the vineyards.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaines Jean-Luc Colombo

    Located in Cornas among cherry and fig trees, the Jean-Luc Colombo domaines extend from Côtes du Rhône to the Mediterranean. Born in Marseille to a family of restaurateurs, Jean Luc pursued oenology studies with the ambition of creating wines that pair well with the food from his childhood.


    • Terroir: Vineyards dedicated to the Côtes du Rhône Villages Les Perdrigals cover stony terraces at the foot of Mont Ventoux.


    • Vinification: Fermentation at controlled temperatures. The wine is then matured for 9 months, partly in barrels of 2 to 5 wines.
