Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

Peach colour with pink gold sheen. Straightforward nose of grapefruit and small red berries. Opens on notes of cranberries. Supple attack, well-balanced and fresh. Straightforward lengthening, on fresh red fruits, strawberry and cherry. Good persistence of flavour.

Robe
Light pink

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Do you know ?

To obtain a wine with a 9° alcohol content, it goes through the dealcoholisation stage. A small volume is strongly dealcoholised and blended in proportion with the original vat to reach the desired level.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaine La Colombette

Created at the end of the 19th century by Mr Louis PUGIBET, a blacksmith, the Colombette estate has been passed down from generation to generation for over a century.

    •     Terroir: Located to the north of Béziers, at the very gates of the city, on the hillside separating the plains of the Orb and Libron rivers, the vineyard enjoys a privileged location. Facing the Mediterranean, it is set on a 100 m slope.
    •     Viticulture: The vineyard has been worked for several years with respect for the environment, management of the so called "natural bush" vine.
