Fruity and crisp
Candy pink colour with rose gold highlights. Frank nose, on red fruits with strawberry and opens on aniseed notes. Aromas of citrus fruit and grapefruit. Iodine notes. Supple attack with freshness and tension. Frank, acidic length on pomelo. Frank character with mineral notes. Sappy finish. Good persistence.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Domain and appellation
The cellars of Plaisance, Aignan and Saint Mont brought together know-how, heritage, terroirs and initials to form the Plaimont Producteur cooperative in 1979. The cellars of Crouseilles and Condom joined the collective 20 years later.
- Terroir: Plaimont Producteur now covers 98% of the Saint Mont appellation. Spread over 5300 hectares between Gascony, Béarn, Pyrenees and Gers, the vineyards are planted with Petit Courbu, Mansengs, Tannat, Pinenc, Arrufiac, Colombard and Cabernet Sauvignon.
- Viticulture: Viticulture is the result of a strict contract between the winegrower, the technician and the terroir.
