Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

Its light straw color with green highlights present a nice open nose of wooded and brioche notes with yellow fruits and dry almonds aromas. The palate is balanced, accurate, fine, fairly full-bodied, ample, nervous and signed with a mellow finish.

Robe
Straw with green tints

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

The term “climate” is utilized in Burgundy to designate all the localities that benefit from unique geological and weather conditions.

Domain and appellation

  • Château de Meursault

Established in the XIth century, the Château de Meursault keeps increasing its vineyards’ size.

    • Terroir: The vineyards lay on different types of limestone soils.

    • Viticulture: The yields’ size is controlled by a manual fruits thinning and the implementation of environmental-friendly practices. The soils are ploughed and chemical fertilizers prohibited.

    • Vinification: The Cuvée Meursault is a blend of different climates: Meursault Grands Charrons, Limozin, Dressolles, Meix Chavaux, Sous la Velle and Ormeaux. The pressuring process is slow and progressive.
