Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Dark garnet colour with fuchsia tints, dark and dense, opaque and brilliant; open nose with notes of fresh blackcurrant, blueberry and redcurrant, lemon blossom; supple attack, pearly, fruity, tension, full, sapid, frank, character on red fruits; sapid, crisp finish, on fresh red fruits and a nice tension, good balance, tannins to patinate. Ideal with grilled meats, to be opened 30 minutes before tasting.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Château Paradis

In an exceptional setting, between the Sainte Victoire mountain and the Luberon, the Château Paradis vineyards stretch over 80 hectares in the heart of Provence, at the northernmost point of the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation.

Ange et Démon without added sulphite 2020 AOP Coteaux d'Aix en Provence. A wine of character, raw and natural, in the image of the Carignan grape variety, dominant in the blend. The use of maceration and short ageing periods has produced a wine with a strong black fruit flavour, full and supple. A wine to drink within the year.
