Powerful bouquet

Garnet colour, brick sheen. Nose of cocoa with roasted notes. Opens on notes of fur and warm spices. Notes of roasted black fruit. Supple attack of balance. Clear lengthening of the roundness. Medium body, character on roasted plum, spices, aromas. Clean finish. Good persistence on cocoa.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Vineyards established on gravelly hilltops. These are very gravelly and healthy soil types. The terroir of Mademoiselle L has an exceptional potential, close to the Gironde and has very few equivalents in the Haut-Medoc appellation. Mademoiselle L is matured in our cellar in oak barrels of exclusively French origin with a 30% proportion of new wood. The wines are racked several times during their maturation. The wine is fined with egg white just before bottling, which takes place after about 12 months of pairing :Pan-fried calf's liver with raspberry vinegar, Duck breast aiguillettes with figs, Red fruit tart.
