Its straw color offers a nose of brioche, buttery, vanilla and fresh mint. On the palate, this wine presents a good balance, with a character on brioche notes, toasted and a touch of fern. Final frank and straight.



Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

The bâtonnage (stirring) consists of stirring the wine while it ages with a long stick in order to bring the lees, or sediments, back at the top of the barrels. This process helps give the wine a buttery taste.

Domain and appellation

    Since 1991 Les Jamelles are a unique collection of wines from the Pays d'Oc. This VIOGNIER comes partly from the Hérault between Béziers and Montpellier and from La vallée de l' Aude in the South of Minervois, near the city of Carcassonne.


    • Terroir: La Haute Vallée de L'Aude has many similarities with the north of the Rhone valley, from which comes the VIOGNIER grape: its climate is sunny, the rains are present thanks to the neighboring mountains of the Cévennes and the Pyrenees, Thus avoiding drought. The limestone soils, also rich in pebbles, and altitude, help maintain a cool temperature during the nights.


    • Vinification: Early harvest. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature control (15 to 18 ° C) to keep as much fruit and freshness as possible. Then, the wine is matured several months in vats on fine lees in order to develop its characteristic perfumes of flowers. No malolactic fermentation.
