Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Trading houses are key to the wine commercialization. Those Maisons are made of wine pundits who signed contracts with different winegrowers in order to buy their harvests. The wine is then made and commercialized by the trader. This profession requires a special skillset in viticulture to only select the best plots. Domain and appellation
Created in 2010 and located in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, negociant Pierre Vidal's maison was born from the desire of a young oenologist to produce wines that best express their terroir, their vintage and their region.
All of the wines are derived from parcel selections done by the maison, which it then vinifies. The brand "Pierre Vidal" is the result of the best cuvees from each appellation.
