Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful wine with potential

Deep golden colour, brilliant, powerful, fresh and open nose of yellow fruit, mango, quince paste, exotic fruit, notes of beeswax, peppermint, vinous, full and nervous, frank with finesse, mineral notes, notes of yellow fruit, candied fruit, spicy hint of pepper, cumin. The finish is frank, powerful and still young.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

The Plaimont winegrowers are committed to exemplary vineyard management in order to bring out all the qualities of the autochthonous grape varieties of the St Mont appellation.

Domain and appellation

This cuvée is made from the 3 main terroirs of the St Mont appellation. The plots, sufficiently old to benefit from a regulated water supply, have been selected in cool areas. After vinification, the wine is matured on fine lees for a minimum of 8 months, then continued in the bottle for 5 years to express all the noble and truffled character of the Pyrenean piedmont.
