Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and crisp
Its straw color with green reflections offers a nose typical of candied yellow fruits, notes of passion fruit and quince paste. In the mouth, this wine is balanced, with nerve and a touch of sweetness.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Do you know ?
Chenin is also known as pinot Loire, it is the flagship grape of the Loire Valley. It was originally from Anjou, where it was cultivated by the monks of the Abbey of Saint-Maur, between Angers and Saumur as early as the 6th century.
Domain and appellation
For over thirty years, the Saget family has created and maintains privileged relationships with its family winegrowing partners. She thus gave birth to the signature Guy Saget which proposes a collection of the most beautiful appellations of the Loire. The wines of Guy Saget signatures are vinified in a traditional way without wooden breeding, allowing all the potential of the Loire wines. Ambassador of the Loire, Guy Saget brings together some thirty appellations, all typical of the Loire Valley.
