Fruity and crisp
Its garnet color offers a fresh nose of roasted red fruits and licorice. As for the taste, this wine is balanced, typed, frank, meaty, full and nervous with a finisl on tight and coated tannins.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation
Jean-Claude BougrierFounded in 1936, this independent family area is located in the communes of Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil and Bourgueil.
- Terroir: This area of 16 hectares is based on soil composed mainly of sand and gravel with some plots planted on clay-limestone soils.
- Viticulture: The average age of the vines is 35 years. Some of them approaching 100 years, part of the first vines planted in the name of Bourgueil.
