Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and light

Pale yellow colour with a hint of moon, clear and shiny. Open nose with notes of candied pineapple, mango and aniseed, with a hint of verbena. Round, greedy, aromatic attack, with notes of exotic fruits. The finish is sapid and greedy, with mango coulis and white flowers, a hint of elderberry syrup.

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaine De La Grande Palliere

The estate is located in the heart of Provence, in the commune of Correns, in the Pays de la Provence verte in the Var department.

Terroir : Situated at an altitude of 250m, the estate consists of 200 hectares, 30 of which are classified as A.O.C. Côtes de Provence. These parcels of vines benefit from the advantages of the vineyard: an exceptional microclimate, a sunny location on the slopes and a trellised vineyard. The trellising consists of tying the stems and branches of the vine with ties to improve the quality. These vines also benefit from a very healthy clay-limestone soil.
Viticulture: Since 1998, the wine production is committed to organic farming, controlled by the organization ECOCERT. The absence of synthetic weed killers, fungicides or insecticides, as well as the use of organic amendments, are the basis of this "organic viticulture".
