Its ruby color with garnet highlights introduces a floral nose of Lilacs, and pepper on the secondary aromas. The tannins are ripe.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Do you know ?
If vines can usually produce wine for over 120 years, their production tends to decrease over time. It takes over 3 years for a vine to be able to start producing wine. The vines’ best years oscillate between 10 to 30 years. Passed that time, they are called “old vines.” Their harvest size decreases but the fruits are highly concentrated with a thick skin that will deliver spicy aromas.

Located in the city of Targon, the Château Roustaing sets apart thanks to its unique vat room that is based inside of a medieval chapel. From the Challenge International du Vin to the Concours Général Agricole of Paris and Bordeaux wine contests, this Bordeaux wine keeps being praised and receiving awards.
- Terroir: Cabernet franc is the main grape variety of this 15 hectares domain. Other grape varieties are the cabernet sauvignon and merlot.
