The nose of this dark garnet-colored wine unveils scents of prune, mixed with a note of Kirsch and finely highlighted by a hint of spices. The tasting opens on a smooth matter that will give you a pleasant sensation of balance. With its powerful aromas and its leathers notes, it will offer you a great length and a great persistence in mouth.



Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Château Pardaillan

    Medieval castle during the 15th century, the Château Pardaillon Is nowadays a family establishment whose savoir-faire gets transmitted from father to son that only have one mission: the share of their passion for vines and wines.
    Terroir: The vineyard extending on 25 hectares is located on hills made of limestone and clay. The sub-soil is composed of rocks and clay. The vineyard benefits from an incredible south exposition.
    Viticulture: On average, vines are 20 years old. They are treated as tightly as possible following a sustainable way of viticulture. The use of phytosanitary produces is then drastically reduced.
    Wine-making: The wine is vinified in tanks and ages for 12 months in oak barrels.
