Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Salmon colour with pastel pink reflections, clear and brilliant; open nose with notes of pink grapefruit and harlequin candy, fruity; greedy attack, hint of sweetness, English candy and citrus fruit character; acidic, crisp, citrus fruit and thirst-quenching finish.

Light pink

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Maison LORGERIL

The Maison Lorgeril is an independent family business founded in 1620 and owns estates in the south of France, between the Rhône and the Pyrenees. Nicolas de Lorgeril, the tenth generation of the same family of winegrowers, and his wife Miren de Saint Chamas, have since 1987 developed their roots beyond the Château de Pennautier, the family's historical birthplace. They have passionately selected the most beautiful terroirs of the Languedoc and Roussillon regions (limestone, black or brown schist, gneiss, sandstone, etc.) located at altitudes of between 200 and 400 metres, i.e. where the coolness of the night tempers the heat of the Mediterranean sun, allowing the grapes to mature slowly and the aromas to develop their elegance.
