Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

Straw colour with golden sheen. Straightforward nose with woody, vanilla and toasted notes. Opens with almonds, hazelnut and candied citrus fruit notes. Supple attack of fat, frank lengthening on hazelnuts; almonds. Notes of frangipane. Straightforward and full-bodied lengthening, tension, frank and typical character. Mineral hint.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaines & Maison Famille Picard

Plot located in the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet at an altitude of 250 metres. It is a poor, very shallow brown limestone soil with outcrops of Ladoix limestone rocks and Dijon Corton stones that we have observed. The vines are about forty years old and are cultivated using integrated and reasoned cultivation. The Chardonnay expresses itself here both in its frankness and its roundness, perfectly balanced on its terroir, perched on the edge of the woods. It is both a charming wine and a background wine, with exuberant aromas, which will not leave your palate indifferent.
