Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • Les Vignerons de Buzet

The history of the Buzet appellation illustrates the incontestable force of wine growing cooperatives. Originating in 1953, the Les Vignerons de Buzet cooperative offered a future to its eponymous wine with the attainment of AOC in 1973.
    • Terroir: Extending over 2000 hectares, the Buzet appellation benefits from unique climatic and geologic conditions. The vineyards sit on soils composed of clay; gravel, silty boubènes and clay earth. Some vines peak at more than 150 metres.
    • Viticulture: The cooperative's vitivulture practices use a sustainable approach. All of the plots bear the Agri Confiance label, the vines are grassed and fertilisers are banned.
