Domain and appellation
Bergerac AOCLocated on both sides of the Dordogne, the vineyards of the AOC Bergerac cover 13000 hectares of vineyards and 93 communes. This regional appellation is composed of 13 more local AOC.
- Terroir: Overlooking the Dordogne Valley, the vineyards extend over various compounds of lake and marine limestones, boulbènes, sands, clays and silts.
- Viticulture: The Bordeaux varietals dominate the whole area.
- Vinification: The assemblies are often composed of two Bordeaux varieties. The region produces as many red wines than white wines.
