Our oenologists' opinion
Its brick robe offers a nice nose of blackcurrant syrup, strawberries and a spicy juniper tip. In the mouth this wine has a good balance, a medium body with character and tannins that melt. Finale frank.
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation
Located in the Bordeaux wine region of Entre-Deux-Mers in the towns of Rions, Béguey and Soulignac, Château Haut-Rian produces white wines under the appellation Entre-deux-Mers, red wines under Côtes de Bordeaux and rosé wines under Bordeaux Rosé.
- Terroir: The vineyard of 80 hectares stretches for exposed slopes south and south-east with a relatively warm and dry climate. Its clay-limestone soil has some gravelly ridges and allows the growth of grape varieties such as Sauvignon, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
- Viticulture: The harvests are carried out in the morning.
- Vinification: In the winery, the grapes are macerated for 3 weeks with daily pumping during alcoholic fermentation. Finally, the wine is bottled after six months in barrels.
