Our oenologists' opinion
Well-rounded
Dark garnet colour with bright red highlights, quite clear. Open and fruity nose with notes of red berries and lilac, hint of yellow peach. Supple and fruity attack, tension, small body, small character, rather short finish on small red fruits.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Les Caves Adam Tas
Obikwa is a wine made in Adam Tas cellars in Stellenbosch (South Africa).
- Terroir: The grapes come from vineyards located in the vicinity of Helderberg, Durbanville and Stellenbosch at altitudes of 50 to 180 m above sea level.
- Viticulture: Manual harvesting is done in early February when temperatures reach 24/25 ° C.
- Vinification: The skins are matured for five days to extract enough of their color and fruit, while maintaining its delicate taste. After pressing, malolactic fermentation takes place, the assembled wine is then aged in barrels for two to three months. The wine then undergoes filtration before clarification and bottling.
