Powerful bouquet

Black colour with garnet highlights. Clean floral nose with hints of violet. Opens out to candied black fruit, fresh spices and herbs. Notes of liquorice. Supple, balanced attack, lingering blackcurrant coulis. Typical frank character, round silky tannins, lingering cocoa and aromatic notes. Notes of cinnamon. Good persistence.

Features

Domain and appellation

    2019, a very fine vintage full of contrasts! Working the soil throughout the vineyard: chemical weeding has been banned in favour of mechanical weeding. Manual leaf thinning and green harvesting. Mechanical harvesting with optical sorting. Traditional plot-by-plot vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Respect for the fruit through very controlled alcoholic fermentation temperatures (26-28°C). Maceration for 20-25 days to work on the tannin structure and extract the aromas. Remontage and délestage. A beautiful, intense, almost black colour. The nose gives off aromas of red fruit, sprinkled with toasty notes and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the attack is suave, followed by a full body with powerful, elegant tannins. The harmonious finish is long and lingering.
