Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
Garnet colour with a purple hue. The nose is frank, with candied raspberries, opening up to spices, pepper, then candied pepper. Supple attack of the envelope, frank fruity length. Character on fresh spices, young tannin but will melt. Frank finish with medium persistence on fresh peppers.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Do you know ?
More than a great wine, Gaillac is today the expression of the rich and authentic culture of the Midi Toulousain, a message of the art of living in the South West.
Domain and appellation
-
Domaine Du Moulin
Gaillac is one of the oldest vineyards in Gaul and owes its development to the monks of the Abbey of Saint-Michel. Located on both banks of the Tarn, surrounding the historic town of Gaillac, Domaine du Moulin has been owned by the Hirissou family for over 3 centuries.
Terroir: This 38 hectare estate combines two high quality terroirs and an original grape variety: braucol and duras for the reds, muscadelle, mauzac and "Len de l'el" for the whites.
Viticulture: 3/4 of the grapes are harvested manually and the remaining 1/4 mechanically. -
