Fruity and light

Purple in colour with hints of violet. A nose of violets, raspberry syrup and blackcurrants. Straightforward attack, round and full-bodied, balanced on a medium body, medium persistence, peppery character. Clean finish.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • FAMILLE PERRACHON

    Established in 1877 in Juliénas, we are the 6th (Laurent and Martine) and 7th generation (Adrien and Maxime) to run the family vineyards. The estate now covers 6 Beaujolais Crus: Juliénas-Moulin à Vent-Morgon-Chénas-Fleurie and Saint-Amour and also Beaujolais Villages. Since 2019, we have also taken over 1ha70 of Pouilly-Fuissé. We are carrying on the work of our elders by continuing an old tradition, as attested by the history of Juliénas, which mentions the PERRACHON family as one of the winegrowers as early as 1601. We work the old-fashioned way, harvesting by hand and goblet pruning. Our yield per vine is one of the lowest in France, but guarantees the quality and authenticity of our wines: 6 Beaujolais crus, Chénas, Fleurie, Juliénas, Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent and Saint Amour, our Beaujolais Villages (red, rosé and white) and Pouilly-Fuissé.
