The Balvenie
Founded in 1889 by William Grant, the distillery located in Dufftown in the Speyside region is owned and ran by the same family since 1892. This independence allows it to devote itself exclusively to the production of handcrafted single malts in the traditional way.
- Manufacturing: The double distillation is made in copper stills. This single malt ages then in bourbon tanks, toasted to caramelize the sugar of the wood and to open its pores before a maturing in tanks that already have been served to create a Caribbean rum. The youngest of all the whiskeys used for the assembly of this Balvenie aged for 14 years minimum.
