Powerful bouquet

Get ready to be amazed by the astounding and yet pleasing alliance of fragrances released by this gold whisky with green highlights. Indeed, you will appreciate its greedy notes of caramel and cocoa freshened by scents of orange peels. In mouth, its power equals its balance: it is pleasingly full-bodied. It allies well the flavor of white chocolate with the liveliness of sweet spices.



Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Project XX was created by our Cellar Master Brian Kinsman. Formerly an apprentice to David Stewart, Brian has tamed the Glenfiddich profile while adding his own modern touch. This is part of the 'Experimental Series'.

Domain and appellation

  • Glenfiddich

    Project XX is the name given to the experiment carried out by Glenfiddich's Cellar Master Brian Kinsman in partnership with 20 whisky experts from 16 different countries who met at Glenfiddich's distillery in Dufftown to select 20 different casks. It was Brian Kinsman's blending of these 20 casks that inspired this whisky. While retaining the delicacy and finesse that is an integral part of Glenfiddich's DNA, Project XX brings a new and unique twist. The Glenfiddich distillery sources 100% unpeated Scottish barley and malt. This whisky is called "non-aged". Its qualities are the result of Brian Kinsman's blending skills. Once the 20 Glenfiddich brand ambassadors have each selected their cask (17 bourbon, 2 sherry and 1 port cask), Brian dexterously blended them.
