Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

A nice opened and frank nose is to tame and to discover with this yellow wine. Indeed, it releases fresh fragrances of citrus fruits and juniper, allied to notes of grilled bread and hazelnut and a more mineral touch. In mouth, its full-bodied side doesn’t remove its good balance. Its mineral taste manifests before a tasteful length.

Yellow Gold

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • Salon & Delamotte

Founded in 1760 by Francois Delamotte, the Maison Delamotte is among the five oldest champagne houses. Salon and Delamotte are both part of the Laurent-Perrier Group.

    • Terroir: The Chardonnay used in this Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru comes from the Côte des Blancs, from pure chalk.

    • Viticulture: The harvest is manual.

    • Vinification: Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats. Slightly dosed, this champagne is assembled with at most 10% of reserve wines. It is then aged on laths 4 to 5 years before disgorgement.
