Created in 1962 and launched in 1972 to celebrate the bicentenary of the House, La Grande Dame represents the expression of the Veuve Clicquot terroir. This cuvée perfectly expresses the solar maturity of the 2012 harvest and all the complexity and finesse of Pinot Noir. The blend of La Grande Dame 2012 is mainly based on grapes from the grand crus and historical parcels of the house. Its blend of Pinot Noir (90%) and Chardonnay (10%) is a direct reference to Madame Clicquot's passion for strong, intense champagnes.
