Powerful bouquet

Its garnet color introduces a nose of fresh fruits, cassis and cherries with wooden, roasted, and smoked notes. The palate is balanced, net, fine, full-bodied with a finish on vigorous and melting tannins.

The Château Desmirail owns 3 vat rooms. The oldest was buit in the 19th century and illustrates perfectly the gravity Médoc vats. The domain stands out through its unique architecture shaped as an inverted ship hull.

    Located in the city of Cantenac, Château Desmirail benefits from the Margaux appellation rich terroir with cabernet sauvignon used as the main grape variety. This 3ème Grand Grand Cru Classé thrives thanks to its terroir and ancestral savoir-faire.

     

    • Terroir: Located between the Atlantic ocean and the Gironde estuary, the Château Desmirail benefits from the Margaux appellation microclimate and graves soils.

     

    • Viticulture:The practice of sustainable agriculture allows the enhancement and preservation of the prestigious terroir. The harvests are hand-picked.

     

    • Vinification: The three different vat rooms allow a plot-by-plot fermentation with wooden tanks used for the oldest plots. The wine ages in oak barrels and the blending process is highly selective.
