Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

Garnet colour. A frank nose of blackcurrant coulis and fresh spices. Notes of mocha and burnt horn. Supple attack, well-balanced. Clean, lingering flavours of roasted coffee and cocoa.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • FAMILLE PERRIN

The Perrin family, owners of Château de Beaucastel, have been making wine from the finest appellations in the Rhône Valley for five generations. Their wines reflect a wealth of experience and a deep attachment to these exceptional terroirs. Their reputation has been built up over the years by offering wines that reveal the authenticity of their origins with a style that always combines concentration and elegance. Our Vacqueyras is a fine example of the fine Grenache wines of the Southern Rhône Valley. Impressive aromatic expression, extremely well-structured body and great ageing potential.
