Fruity and well-rounded

Deep garnet-red with black tints. Open nose of black fruit, dry garrigue spices, thyme, bay leaf sauce, hint of cocoa. Good balance on a full-bodied wine with a hint of warmth. Well-typed character, ripe tannins, already melted on a finish of candied fruit and cocoa.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Domain and appellation

DOMAINE JUBAIN

Domaine la Vitalis is a fine representative of the Cairanne appellation. Son and grandson of winegrowers, Patrice Jubain vinified his first vintage in 2004, after leaving the cooperative cellar. He now farms around forty hectares of vineyards in the Cairanne appellation.
