Our oenologists' opinion

Well-rounded

Dark garnet colour with black highlights. The nose is open, spicy, warm, with plum jam, strawberries and roasted coffee, a hint of caramelised wood. Supple, velvety attack, with fairly long and fat tannins, tension, and a little finesse. Good balance, quite fleshy. Satin finish, medium persistence on candied pepper and grey pepper.

Features

Domain and appellation

  • CHÂTEAU DU BOUSQUET

    Château du Bousquet has a high planting density of 6,600 to 7,000 vines per hectare compared to the standards of the appellation (minimum density 4,500 vines per hectare in Côtes de Bourg). Terroir: Clay-limestone soils. Vinification: Respect for the fruit through very controlled alcoholic fermentation temperatures (27 - 28°C) Thermovinification of the Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in French oak barrels for 50% of the volume.
