Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

Deep yellow colour with bright yellow highlights. Reduced nose, to be opened, then notes of melted butter, dried flowers, marzipan and brioche, hint of gunflint, frank, typical. Frank, honeyed, floral attack with notes of acacia, flower syrup and dried mango. The finish is sapid, full-bodied and typical, with notes of candied ginger, kiwi fruit and toast. A long finish of toasted hazelnut.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • Domaine Jean-Marc Brocard

Located in the heart of the Chablis vineyards, the family estate was founded in 1973 by Jean-Marc Brocard, who has since been joined by his son Julien. It covers almost 200 hectares, 66 of which are certified organic. Precision, strength and freshness are the Brocard signature, a unique style that can be found in each of the Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru and Chablis Grand Cru appellation wines, which are exported to nearly 50 countries.
