Our oenologists' opinion
Powerful bouquet
Black colour with garnet highlights. Clear nose of menthol and candied spices. Opens with aromas of mocha and cocoa. Supple attack with a round body. Frank length and finesse. Character with notes of spices and roasted black fruits. Good persistence.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

The story begins in 1525 with the construction of the "village of La Lagune", which was transformed into a winery around 1587. Since her arrival in 2000, Caroline Frey and her team have instilled an energy whose watchword is excellence.

Moulin du Château La Lagune
A hundred metres from Château la Lagune, 3rd Grand Cru Classé, stands an authentic windmill. On the road to the Médoc, this is the first and one of the most beautiful gravelly hilltops. Viticulture, vinification and ageing are carried out with the same concern for perfection at the Moulin as at Château La Lagune. The aim is to preserve as much as possible of the finesse, elegance and balance of La Lagune, so characteristic of its terroir, and to seek richness in the vineyard.
